Trip to Chippenham is an English Country Dance devised by Gary Roodman, published in "A Group of Calculated Figures" in 2012, https://calculatedfigures.com/. It is an improper duple minor longways dance. The tune is "Twelfth Eve" published in Playford's Dancing Master and performed by Cilantrio. The recording comes from the album "Good Friends" and is used with permission of Gary Roodman. The animation plays at 109 counts per minute normally, but the first time through the set the dance is slowed down so people can learn the moves more readily (music does not play for this slow set). Men are drawn as rectangles, women as ellipses. Each couple is drawn in its own color, however the border of each dancer indicates what role they currently play so the border color will change each time through the minor set.
