I want to thank all of you who commented on the last video about Baxter. Your comments were so loving and sweet, and all of your memories that you shared were so comforting to us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Lets get some happy going and start painting! I really loved the first Inner Sandwich pour last week. I loved the composition and the cells were out of this world beautiful! The experiment of using only blues inside the sandwich pour was successful in isolating the blue and keeping it in only a couple of areas. I definitely want to play with this really fun technique more tonight! I want to create a piece that is not quite so busy, so I will be using thicker layers of each color. Im using a 22x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft tonight. Colors Custom Colors Indigo Violet Ruby Pebeo Studios Iridescent Violet Blue DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics 24K Gold Amsterdam Titanium White Pouring Medium: Golden Heavy Gel Gloss Floetrol There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. I have to say the little duck that appeared in this painting made me smile a lot, and I was happy that it survived the tilting intact. That section did cell up quite a bit, but thats where the 24 K Gold was. Im in love with that Indigo Violet color, I think its stunning against all these other colors! The jury is still out for me on the Pebeo Iridescent Violet Blue. Im not seeing as much of a color shift as I did with the Red Blue, and its just so pink to my eye. Maybe when its totally dry I will change my mind. It has been raining so much here in Southern California, nothing is drying quickly. Once it is dry I will take it out into the sun and show you then as well. Sandwich pours are wonderful for using up little bits of paint because you dont need much at all to create a stunning effect. I highly recommend using brighter bolder colors for sandwich pours because the amount of white will dull down the colors and create gorgeous pastels.
