Jesus - The Bread of Life | John 6:22-71 After feeding the 5,000 and walking on water, the crowd tracked Jesus down to Capernaum — not because they saw the signs, but because their stomachs were full. Jesus confronted their true motives and delivered the most divisive message of His ministry: “I am the bread of life.” This verse-by-verse expository sermon walks through the entire Bread of Life discourse and answers the questions straight from the text: Why did the crowd want to make Jesus king by force? What does Jesus mean when He says, “Do not labor for the food which perishes”? When they asked, “What must we do to work the works of God?” — why did Jesus answer, “This is the work of God: that you BELIEVE in Him whom He sent”? How is Jesus greater than the manna Moses gave? Why did Jesus say we must eat His flesh and drink His blood to have life? Why did many disciples say, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?” and walk away forever (John 6:66)?
