Watch in high quality (480p). In this video, it shows the windy days of early to mid April of 2013 here in San Jose, CA. Gusty northerly/northwesterly winds were present for a good few days here in the Bay Area. An upper trough overhead generated some breezy winds across the coastal ranges and in the Central Valleys. For our weather scenario here in San Jose, CA on Monday, April 8, 2013, high winds were bringing down trees across the Bay Area. There were reports of broken windows and other damage. The wind had increased a bit more throughout the afternoon hours. Gusts had reached 40+ mph for most of the Bay Area this day and 50-55 mph over the Bay and ocean. Wind Advisories and gale warnings were in effect in parts of the region. Around the Bay Area, the high winds had created a big challenge for PG&E crews all morning. As of 11 a.m. this day, 6,000+ were without power in the South Bay, 5,500 on the Peninsula and more than 200 in San Francisco. Footage taken from the backyard and later at Uncle Epifanio's backyard. By the very next day, winds started blowing once again. This was the 2nd day in a row we had windy conditions. For some reason, it was a bit warmer this afternoon than the previous day. The winds this day weren't as strong as the previous day. Footage taken from around the EVC parking lot mostly. It was choppy since I was using my iPhone. After a few days of calmer weather, by Monday, April 15, 2013, just a week after our first windy day, the winds started blowing once again as another trough in the jet stream dipped down into our area. Footage taken from my backyard, around Eastridge Mall, and by Mark's house, a friend of mine. ***This was also the day when there were bombs that exploded during the Boston Marathon...R.I.P. to the victims of the bombing there... Then again on Tuesday, April 16, another breezy day was encountered. Footage this time was taken around Fowler Creek Park. The winds slowly calmed down some as days progressed. No rain in the forecast in sight, but having all this sun, wind and mild to warm temps sure does put spring into full gear...as well as the allergies...achooo! The last short clip in the video was the view of San Francisco, CA at night from Twin Peaks Summit :)
