So March is upon us and the tv was all “spring is here, the sun is shining” and yes it was. Not so much today though so that must mean its Friday setting up gloomy for the weekend!! Anway, yes the sun has been shining this week and its always a good feeling to feel it on your face after the months of wet rain we have endured. The works are Badsey are in the very final stages, unless the lads come back today and tell me different. The last few bits of tidying up, finishing off the concreting and getting the channel drains in, backfilled and connected into the existing drainage system. Clearing up any final debris and starting to bring the tractors and dump trailers back from site. King Kev and Cool Hand Luke went to start on another job near Pershore, starting to trench in an outfall pipe for a new drainage scheme we will be installing in the not too distant future. On about drainage and sunshine; you can tell we have had a few dry days as the phone has been busier than usual with calls for drainage “now things have dried up”! It does make me smile, but I can assure everyone that we are as anxious to get the 15:15 out and draining as you are to see us in your fields. Boss Man Chris has had a bit of bad luck this week, 4 tyres on Transit Connect have managed to pick up punctures. Strangely though, a couple off them looked as if they were bursting from the inside with the wires poking through them and thankfully the rest of our trucks on site have been fine! Dillybob has been almost as quiet as a church mouse this week, well that is until he speaks, which is every time he comes in for a biscuit!! He has been a busy bee again though but whatever you do, don’t ask him about pulling that cable too far or it will disappear inside the roof and you will have to take the roof off to get at it. . . . ooops too late!! Another good week done lads, much gratitude for all the hard work and fun along the way.
