In this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Professor Françoise Vergès, activist, public educator, and author of A Decolonial Feminism, recently translated into Polish and published with Wydawnictwo Współbycie. She visited us on the occasion of the Humanities–Society–Identity Congress, where she was one of the two keynote speakers. In her work, Françoise Vergès radically reframes feminism — not as a universal project, but as something deeply entangled with colonial history, racial capitalism, state power, and everyday forms of exploitation. She also emphasizes that decolonial feminism is not just a theory but a practice, so we ask about emotions, memory, optimism, and responsibility — especially in European contexts that often prefer to forget their colonial legacies.
