15th Ramadan Mubarak – The Life and Virtues of Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) The 15th of Ramadan is a very blessed and important day in Islamic history because it marks the birth of the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA). He was the elder son of Hazrat Ali (RA) and Hazrat Fatima (RA), the beloved daughter of the Prophet ﷺ. From his childhood, Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) was deeply loved by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) was born on the 15th of Ramadan in the 3rd year of Hijrah in Madinah. When he was born, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was extremely happy. The Prophet ﷺ himself named him “Hassan” and recited the Adhan in his ear. It is narrated in many authentic traditions that the Prophet ﷺ loved Hazrat Hassan (RA) and Hazrat Hussain (RA) very much and said: "Hassan and Hussain are the leaders of the youth of Paradise." Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) was known for his kindness, patience, generosity, and noble character. He is among the Ahl al-Bayt (the blessed family of the Prophet ﷺ), who hold a very special and respected position in Islam. Throughout his life, he helped the poor and needy and was known for giving charity generously for the sake of Allah. One of the most remarkable aspects of Hazrat Imam Hassan’s life was his commitment to peace and unity among Muslims. During a time of conflict among Muslims, he chose reconciliation over power and stepped down from the leadership in order to prevent bloodshed and bring unity to the Muslim Ummah. Because of this historic reconciliation, the year 41 Hijri became known as “Aam al-Jama’ah” (The Year of Unity). The life of Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) teaches us many valuable lessons about patience, forgiveness, generosity, and prioritizing the unity of the Muslim Ummah. His noble character is a beautiful example for all Muslims to follow. On this blessed day of 15th Ramadan, we should remember the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Hassan (RA) and try to adopt his qualities of patience, kindness, and unity in our own lives. May Allah grant us love for the Ahl al-Bayt and the ability to follow their noble example. Ameen. If you enjoyed this video, please Like, Share, and Subscribe to our channel for more Islamic content.
