The Sidney Nolan Trust's Curator, Antony Mottershead, leads this discussion about Sidney Nolan's 1986 digital art, created on the Quantel Paintbox and exhibited for the first time at Nolan's former home and studio, The Rodd in 2024. Mottershead is joined by Quantel artist and historian, Adrian Wilson, who co-curated and donated unseen Nolan artwork and historical items from his archive for the exhibition, who explains the Paintbox's largely unknown but huge significance in cultural and digital art history. Richard Bain was one of Quantel's earliest Paintbox artists, who assisted Jennifer Bartlett and Larry Rivers on the BBC Painting With Light series that Sidney Nolan was part of.
