In an age where artificial intelligence can recall facts, calculate equations, and summarize data faster than any human, our education systems are still obsessed with training students to be calculators. We are, argues Dakshesh, mining our children's minds for rote information rather than fostering their unique ability to dream, innovate, and create. In this urgent and visionary talk, Dakshesh makes the case that the future of education isn't about memorization it's about imagination. Drawing on real-world examples of creative schools that value curiosity over conformity, Dakshesh explains why creativity should be treated with the same status as literacy. As a high school student passionate about robotics, artificial intelligence, and youth leadership, Dakshesh leads MHS Robotics—nonprofit school organization focused on hands-on STEM education—and have delivered talks at VOICE & AI 2024 on the societal impact of intelligent machines. Through internships at Radical and Impacter AI, I’ve worked with generative AI and ethical tech development, gaining real-world experience in emerging technologies. Whether mentoring students, launching engineering projects, or speaking on AI’s future, I’m driven by a mission to help people—especially the next generation—understand and responsibly shape the technologies that are transforming our world.
