On April 9th the Odyssey of the Seas set sail on an 8 night Southern Caribbean sailing. Originally scheduled to make a lap around the caribbean with a stop in Grand Cayman, covid restrictions led to several itinerary changes. Sailing round trip from Ft. Lauderdale she made stops in Willemstad Curaçao and Oranjestad Aruba as originally scheduled, as well as the addition of CocoCay in the Bahamas. April 13th saw her reach her second port of call with a stop in Willemstad Curaçao for day 5 of the sailing. Despite the detour for the medical emergency on day 3 the Odyssey still made it to her destination on time arriving to the island just after sunset and docking just before her scheduled 8am time. With a 6:00 PM departure the scheduled all aboard time was 5:30 PM. While most guests made it back on time someone did not. As the port agent and bridge ship team worked to locate them the bridge team had to delay their departure. Despite lowering her first lines at 5:50 PM the Odyssey didn't leave until 6:30 PM leaving the missing passengers behind.
