Marshal expands his lineup to include 2 unconventional utility-based Fighting-types in Breloom and Toxicroak. While I like both Pokémon, I don’t know if they were the best additions since they only increase Marshal’s already-common weaknesses to Flying and Psychic with their quad-weaknesses, but I guess you gotta make it unique somehow. It’s also worth noting that Conkeldurr is now the ace of the team instead of Mienshao, as Mienshao would’ve been underleveled had it not been the ace in the original battle (since Mienfoo evolves at Level 50.) Anyway, Sigilyph was enough to do this again. Sawk wasn’t the only potential threat this time though; Throh managed to survive a hit from my Sigilyph and hit back, but it didn’t cause any trouble afterwards. Conkeldurr and Mienshao weren’t hard to get a OHKO on, and Breloom and Toxicroak didn’t stand a chance to both of their biggest weaknesses within one Pokémon, lol. I also equipped a Life Orb onto my Sigilyph to increase its damage output and take advantage of its ability, Magic Guard, which helped it secure OHKOs easier. I will discuss that in a later part of the walkthrough.
