We discovered that Juist Wadden Island is secretly a briljant destination to visit by airplane, especially in wind calm and sunny weather. After landing on a 700 meter concrete runway, it is just a 5 minute walk through the dunes to arrive at a beautiful beach with no person in sight. Having visited quite a few airports, even for Texel and Ameland, I haven't found any where the beach is only a stumble away and basically right next to the field. I think this makes it really unique and I'm definitely going again.
