Amongst the bells, church and ringers: Ashford

(Edit - the opening title track was adjusted - feel free to mute the replacement). In this video we visit Ashford for two quarter peal attempts that sadly came to grief, which was a shame. The drone footage makes a return as well as an added viewpoint from the GoPro, which I miraculously relocated; making four viewpoints and a very interesting time editing this together. Sadly, the upper belfry cam died just after commencing Grandsire Caters. The bells have an old fashioned sound to them, a bit oddstruck and they seem to have a set speed at which they appear to settle and go well when rolling which gives them good character; a somewhat continental feel when raising the four back ones. They are hung above an intermediate chamber on two levels, a re-enforcement concrete beam separating them. Four, five and six are hung above, one, two, three, seven, eight, nine and ten hung below.
