It is Halloween, and in his attempts to celebrate the occasion, Toad is, as usual, over-ambitious, particularly in his construction of a Halloween mask. In the Wild Wood, a party of trick-or-treating Wild Wooders is frightened out of their wits by a hideous monster, with shining eyes, and making a horrible hissing sound. They persuade the reluctant Toad to accompany them, and Toad becomes even more scared than they were.
