[Music] Hi there welcome to another video from Danforth East Wellness today joining me is Natasha they are one of the psychotherapists in training here at the clinic I'm Dr Kat one of the chiropractors here at the clinic the question we're going to look at today is what do I ask in an intake call when I'm looking for therapy yeah that's a really great question it's a big step to decide that you're ready to look for someone to connect with over therapy and to find someone that you trust and you feel really open and comfortable sharing with and that's exactly what we try to do in the consultation call is get a little bit of a better feel the therapist and the client for one another to see if we might have a good fit to do some work together I'll ask all sorts of questions but there's also lots of room for the client to ask questions as well so it's really a two-way street that intake call some of the questions I'll ask about would include some of your personal history what you're looking for in the therapy session and what kind of goals you might have of what you'd like to talk about what you're hoping for when you come to therapy and I also invite my clients to ask me what's a session like what is your practice like can you tell me a bit more about yourself any Curiosities or anything they might want to check out I'm happy to have that conversation with them that's amazing well that answers a lot of questions about that so there we go what sort of things you ask for in an intake call and that is exactly what our friends on the other side of the camera are looking for so if you have any questions just put them in the comments we'll try to get to it as soon as possible otherwise like And subscribe and share and hopefully that will help you in the future nice talking to you
