Arguably the single-most thing I'm proudest of in my life? - - In honor of my dearest friend in the whole world turning 25 today, I'd like to share with you all what has most certainly turned out to be one of my favorite personal projects... like, EVER.... I give you: "Close Call" - a short film of mine, directly inspired by a key scene from Joel and Ethan Coen's brilliant black comedy masterpiece: 'The Big Lebowski' (a timeless and endlessly hysterical cinematic feat). Starring A.J. Ortiz as Walter Sobchak, Loretta Steele as waitress Betty Rhubarb, and myself as... "Dude", the film also features two of my original songs: "A Million Ways To Eat Your Demons"--in the background for the bulk of the sequence--and "Close Call" (in the outro). With indescribable thanks geared towards the irreplaceable Brothers Coen, I hope you all enjoy this brief creative feat, sprouted from my weird little brain--again, an amateur reinvention of just one scene from the ingenious filmmaking team's aforementioned picture. - As for my brotha A.J. on his big day: I love you, buddy!!
