Our 2024 Greek Odyssey July 4th, 2024 - Stoli, Heraklion, Elounda, Crete We take a step back in time when we awaken to the sleepy mountain farm village of Stoli. An old man in a van comes by selling chickens and our host had left us a plate of home made nibbles for breakfast. A wonderful old lady who used a translation app on her phone to communicate with us. She had waited up for us to arrive the night before and had some cinnamon tea ready to welcome us. When we left in the morning she gave us some amazing dried herbs from her garden which never failed to make me smile over the following months when I used them. From Stoli we headed to Heraklion to visit Marisa's family, and while in town visited the Heraklion Archaeological Museum and the Palace of Knossos. And of course a Gregory's we found down near the harbour :) From Heraklion, we travel to our home base for the last leg of our trip - the beautiful seaside village of Elounda.
