Sustainable Mobile Payment Adoption: Correlates of Compatibility and Observability Apps

It is important to assess user adaptation to mobile payments to measure sustainable use of financial technology. This research aims to examine the impact of diffusion of innovation technology on mobile payment use. The study was conducted to evaluate compatibility, trialability and observability on mobile payment usage intention. The research was carried out quantitatively, where a survey was conducted among 171 respondents of mobile payment users. Data were taken through an online questionnaire and processed using a path analysis approach. There is a model test carried out by evaluating the research hypothesis. The research results explain the positive relationship of compatibility, trialability and observability on mobile payment usage intention. Perceived compatibility and observability have a significant impact in supporting mobile payment usage intention. Increasing user usage intention towards financial technology has a positive impact on mobile payment use. The research findings explain the importance of understanding the diffusion of innovative factors to increase the use of mobile payments and support the sustainable use of financial technology.
