Join our family on a 17-day Alaska adventure as we continue our goal of visiting all 63 U.S. National Parks — traveling by plane, train, automobile, cruise ship, wildlife boat, and bush plane. Our journey took us through Anchorage, King Salmon, Seward, Fairbanks, Denali, Whittier, Skagway, Juneau, Glacier Bay, and Hubbard Glacier, with unforgettable experiences in Katmai National Park, Kenai Fjords National Park, Denali National Park, Glacier Bay National Park, and Wrangell–St. Elias National Park (via Hubbard Glacier). Highlights included flying by bush plane to Brooks Falls in Katmai to see brown bears and the salmon run, hiking Exit Glacier and cruising past massive glaciers in Kenai Fjords, exploring Denali National Park, and riding a glass-dome Alaska Railroad train through mountains and river valleys. We then boarded the Holland America Noordam for an Inside Passage cruise featuring Hubbard Glacier, a full ranger-led day in Glacier Bay, and stops in Skagway (White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and Klondike Gold Rush NHP) and Juneau, where we met Iditarod sled dogs and explored the city. From bears and glaciers to trains, fjords, and national parks, this trip shows what’s possible when you combine an Alaska land tour with a cruise. If you’re planning an Alaska cruise, national parks trip, or wildlife adventure, we hope this video helps you plan your own journey through The Last Frontier.
