My Lyrics and Stylistic Suggestions and Slideshow: Mark Gammell All Else: AI, on Suno.com Inspiration: I came down to my computer to write my song for the day, and decided on this title that has I thought of today but made perfect sense. This is what resulted. I am very pleased with it, and I hope everyone likes it. This time, I went for a Ratpack Style Nightclub Jazz Version in the memory of Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin. It's nice. It even kinda sounds like Dean. Recently I have been turned on to Suno.com. I am trying to create a song daily. I was recently encouraged by Chatgpt to make music videos with iMovie using my photos and videos as a means to get my wares out there. I think it adds to the impact of any song, even though I am having to reuse my photo library again and again. Sorry. It was too much work to have my lyrics show up in the video, so I just pasted them below. End Goal: I'm teaching myself the craft of song writing, I am retired, and have the goal of marketing some or all of these songs someday in Nashville, etc. I would love to get some of them recorded by a real crooner artist, his band, and by a real music studio. I play the guitar and sing, but after some serious health issues, I can do neither very well. Song writing may be the only way left for me to really scratch my musical itch. :-) If you have any suggestions, I am all ears. :-). Thanks. Jerry & Dean | A Tribute (Original Song) - Lyrics: (Intro) My daughter said the other day “Dad, how come I’m just learning now About the genius… Jerry and Dean?” (Verse 1) Just spent a month in Japan Mostly in the car with daughter DJ Pleased the crowd, and sang along the way Lots of Dean Martin songs on replay (Chorus 1) Never has there been Such a "dye-nam-ic" duo Bringing house down For decades — and still they glow (Verse 2) Used to stay home sick from school Stake out my TV for the afternoon The PM matinee, a classic jewel Jerry and Dean on the screen so soon (Chorus 2) Never has there been Such a "dye-nam-ic" duo Bringing house down For decades — and still they glow (Bridge) Of course Dean’s voice, silky smooth But Jerry singing seriously, him too They could dance a great soft shoe And the jokes, the banter — nothing better They both made it look so easy You’d swear they're ad libbing together (Verse 3) My favorite scene was in Sailor Beware In the locker room before a fight Jerry talking tough to scare the guy Like he’d win — score not tight Dean says “How many fights you had?” Jerry grins and says with pride “One-oh-One — I won ’em all — (beat) Well… except for a hundred of ’em.” (Extended Chorus 3) And they could dance a great soft shoe And the jokes, the banter — nothing better Never has there been Such a "dye-nam-ic" duo Bringing house down For decades — and still they glow (Outro) Now she’s watching every movie Laughing like I used to do Still asking why it took so long For me to show her Jerry and Dean Maybe someday my kids will see What Jerry and Dean meant to me
