Expert Panel: Jenny Hu - Head of Customer Success & Growth, STARLIMS Jenny Hu serves as the Head of Customer Success & Growth at STARLIMS, spearheading the commercial team's efforts to drive growth for the Labstep ELN within STARLIMS. Jenny commenced her journey at Labstep in 2019, initially assuming the role of Implementation Manager. In this capacity, she adeptly managed pre-sales and post-sales technical and customer experience initiatives. A computational geneticist by training, Jenny's prior experience in scientific research during her academic tenure provided her with a solid foundation to foster strong relationships with Labstep's R&D clientele, resulting in enhanced adoption, retention, and expansion rates. Her trajectory within the company saw her ascend to the position of Chief Operating Officer, during which she oversaw two funding rounds and an exit to STARLIMS. Magan holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Pretoria and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry. Her expertise in the cultivated meat industry is wide and varied. Prior to Newform, Magan held the position of Senior Scientific Officer at a cultivated seafood start-up, where she was actively involved in designing and managing projects related to fish cell lines, leveraging proficiency in cell culture. Her research background includes the development of indigenous Bacillus-based chicken feed probiotic at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, which resulted into a royalty bearing licensed product that is currently in the market. Additionally, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Magan worked on the development of a cattle tick vaccine, providing a valuable perspective on primary tissue culture and immunological aspects, critical considerations in developing cultivated meat products. Further to this she has had diverse roles in bioprocess development, product formulation, and quality control. Youyou Wu - Assistant Professor, University College London YouYou Wu, Assistant Professor in Psychology at University College London (UCL), Faculty of Education and Society (IOE), Department of Psychology and Human Development. Dr. Wu obtained her PhD in Psychology from the University of Cambridge. As a psychologist of their generation, she is drawn to metascience and methodology, particularly reproducibility. She is interested in how one can best predict replication outcomes before an actual replication takes place, and has worked on ranking the replicability of over 10,000 Psychology publications in top-tier journals using machine learning, enabling scientists to prioritize manual replications of certain studies. ⭐ Don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE for more insightful webinars! 🌐 Follow Us: Website: www.starlims.com LinkedIn: / starlims
