We enjoyed visiting Fort Stockton, Texas. We toured the Fort Stockton Historic Site and the Annie Riggs Museum. We also saw another roadrunner, Paisano Pete, who claimed to be the largest roadrunner. I guess that was before the Recycled Roadrunner came along - hehe. We toured a city park with FOUR BBQ pits. It would have been amazing to see them in use (and possibly sample the food from the grills). We saw the oldest house in Fort Stockton, or at least the remains of it. We let Shelly come with us to visit the Annie Riggs Museum. If you are ever in the Fort Stockton area, take the time to visit this museum. It is packed with information, not only on how successful Annie Riggs was in running her hotel, but also in history of the surrounding area.
