NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association today unveiled a video devoting coverage to the topic of safety ropes utilized in the communications tower industry. The video is the fourth to debut in Volume 7 of the Association’s popular #ClimberConnection Series. The video includes an informative, back and forth dialogue between narrator Sean Gilhooley and Loui McCurley, CEO of NATE member company Pigeon Mountain Industries. During their conversation, Gilhooley and McCurley discuss the types of safety ropes currently utilized in the industry, the materials that comprise the ropes, the performance characteristics of the ropes, rigging considerations for safety ropes, rope inspection protocols, and the impact of weather and other environmental conditions on ropes.
