This trip reminded me how grateful we should be for life. Not everything we plan for the future will happen the way we expect. things are uncertain, and moments can change in an instant. Even though my initial travel plans didn’t go as planned, I’m thankful to be safe after the scary time the island experienced. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the disaster. Please stay strong. No matter what, the beauty of this island is unmatched, and no disaster can ever take that away. You’ll see it for yourself in this video. The true strength of Sri Lanka is its people. helping each other, standing together, and rebuilding what was destroyed. That resilience is what this country is all about. This video shows Katharagama through my eyes. the calmness and peace felt truly out of this world.
