They told you "Ma Malakat Aymanukum" means sex slaves. They told you "Fatayat" means slave girls. They told you the Prophet’s wives prove you can be a polygamist. They lied. In this video, we perform a forensic Quranic Audit on the most controversial topics in Islam. We strip away the history books, the scholars, and the cultural baggage to look strictly at the Arabic roots. The Verdict: MMA (Ma Malakat Aymanukum): It doesn't mean property. It means "Contracted Wards." Fatayat: It doesn't mean slave girl. It means "Young Woman" (just like Abraham was a "Fata"). Polygamy: The "permission" you think you have was actually an exclusive exception for the Prophet (Surah 33:50), explicitly banned for everyone else. We are deleting 1,400 years of religious exploitation today. The "Sex Slave" myth ends now. ** My Translation ** Surah 4:25 (The Quran Alone Translation) "And whoever among you does not have the capacity/wealth (Taul) to marry the Independent/Protected Believing Women (Al-Muhsanat Al-Mu'minat), then [he may marry] from what your Oaths/Contracts have gained authority over (Ma Malakat Aymanukum)—from among your believing young women(Fatayatikumu Al-Mu'minat). And Allah is most knowing concerning your faith; you are from one another. So marry them (Fa-ankihuhunna) with the permission of their people/family (Ahl), and give them their dowries/compensations (Ujurahunna) according to acceptable norms—[they being] chaste/protected(Muhsanat), not pouring forth lust openly (Musafihat), nor taking secret lovers (Akhdan). Then, when they are fortified in marriage (Uhsina), if they commit gross immorality (Fahisha), then upon them is half of the punishment that is upon the Independent/Protected Women (Al-Muhsanat). That is for whoever fears hardship/sin (Al-'Anat) among you. But that you be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful." *************************** Key Translation Notes (The Audit): 1 "Independent/Protected Women" (Al-Muhsanat): Traditionally translated as "Free women." Here, we translate it based on the root H-S-N (Fortress), referring to women who have the social/financial fortress of independence and high standing. 2 "What your Contracts have gained authority over" (MMA): Traditionally "Slave girls." Here, translated as those bound to you by Yamin (Oath/Contract). 3 "Young Women" (Fatayatikum): Traditionally "Slave girls." Here, translated literally as "Youths/Maidens" (Root F-T-Y), referring to their age and stage of life, not property status. 4 "Their People/Family" (Ahlihinna): Traditionally "Their masters." Here, translated literally as "Family/People," proving they are not chattel slaves (who have no legal family). 5 "Secret Lovers" (Akhdan): This explicitly forbids the traditional "concubine" practice. Sex without the public contract is defined here as taking a "secret lover." Here is the final summary of why that concept does not exist in the Book of God: 1 No "Property" Humans: The term Ma Malakat Aymanukum (MMA) does not mean "owned property." It means "Those bound by your Oaths/Contracts" (Contracted Dependents/Wards). 2 No "Free Sex": The Quran explicitly forbids sexual relations with these dependents unless you marry them(Nikah), pay them a dowry, and get their family's permission (Surah 4:25). 3 No "Concubinage": The Quran defines sex outside of a public marriage contract as taking "Secret Lovers" (Akhdan), which is explicitly haram (forbidden) for both free women and wards (4:25). 4 No "Permanent Servitude": The Quran gives dependents the legal right to demand a Contract of Emancipation(Kitab), and commands guardians to grant it and finance it (Surah 24:33). 5 No "Sex Objects": The Quran commands guardians to marry off their female servants (Ima') to husbands, proving they are not reserved for the master's pleasure (Surah 24:32). The Reality: The "Sex Slave" concept is a historical invention created by empire-building men who wanted to justify their lust. They took the Quran's system of Social Welfare and Contracted Guardianship and twisted the definitions to create a system of Exploitation. The Quran itself is innocent of this crime. It is a book of rights, contracts, and justice.
