Now, to wrap up the playthrough, he will take out Calamity Ganon for the main quest "Defeat Ganon". Link resumes at his house in Hateno Village. He teleports to the Travel Medallion that he left just outside the Sanctum in Hyrule Castle (time 1:21). When he gets there, he waits for the Master Sword to finish recharging and rests at a campfire to make an autosave. Scenes take place as Link enters the Sanctum (time 3:44). After the scenes, Link does battle with Calamity Ganon, Scourge of Hyrule Castle (time 7:03). In the first phase, Ancient Arrows to the face will deplete his health quickly, especially with an attack boost in effect. In the second phase, Link can deflect Calamity Ganon's Guardian beams or perfect-dodge his attacks to stun him. More scenes take place after Link defeats Calamity Ganon (time 8:36). It isn't over yet! Out in Hyrule Field, Link and his horse must take out Dark Beast Ganon, Hatred and Malice Incarnate (time 11:13). After collecting the Bow of Light, he can use it to take down the enemy. Periodically, Zelda will make large glowing points appear on Dark Beast Ganon's body. After Link shoots the glowing spot on Dark Beast Ganon's underside, Link must glide up and take out the massive eyeball that emerges from the enemy with aerial archery. Scenes take over after Link has defeated Dark Beast Ganon (time 14:40). "Destroy Ganon" complete! After the scenes, the credits roll (time 17:45). Scenes are displayed during the credits. Fantastic game. It provides a lot of stuff to do in addition to the main story. The outdoor exploration is good in many way. The rock climbing is a nice touch, as long as it is not raining. The combat system is a good refinement of the 3D Zelda mechanics that have been in place since Ocarina of Time. I don't feel that the game's story is the best, but it is well told. The music is good, what there is of it. As far as criticisms, I feel that melee weapons, bows, and shields tend to break too quickly. Even the Master Sword runs out of energy after some use and has to recharge. Also, rain and thunderstorms are too detrimental to exploration. While the outdoor exploration is expansive, there is not as much proper dungeon delving as in previous games. Calamity Ganon is less of a character and more of a force of nature. I found the DLC mostly enjoyable, particularly the Champions' Ballad content. Reduced charge times for the Champion abilities and a powered-up Master Sword are definitely worth the trouble. A scene with Link and Zelda plays after the credit roll (time 26:16). If Link had cleared all the Divine Beasts and viewed all his Recovered Memories, a bonus scene will play (time 27:27). Lovely, and I like the inclusion of classic Zelda music. However, I do not notice anything new for completing the DLC stories. That's kind of a bummer. After the closing, the player is returned to the title screen. If this is your first time completing the game, note that your most recent save is now marked with a star. When you load from this save, Link starts at the location of his most recent save, and his inventory is also the same. The Adventure Log now shows a count of each type of quest cleared compared to the number of quests remaining. This concludes my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I have enjoyed making this playthrough, and I hope that you have enjoyed watching. I hope to see you again in my other playthroughs. I certainly expect to play the sequel to this game when it comes out. Thanks for watching!
