Wing Commander Ken Wallis joined the RAF IN 1939 and flew 28 bombing missions during World War Two. Ken remained in the RAF post war and among many achievements flew the mighty American B36 which was a long range bomber with ten engines, Ken retired from the RAF in 1964. Ken demonstrated his autogyros at numerous RAF air shows before leaving the RAF in 1964 in the rank of wing commander. He moved to Norfolk, hoping that he would be able to put them into commercial production. Having developed this passion for building and flying auto gyro's he was contracted to fly as Sean Connery's stunt double flying his auto gyro 'Little Nellie' for the film You Only Live Twice. Ken was the recognized world record holder for many categories of autogyro records over the years, and was also recognized as the oldest pilot to set a world flight record at the age of 89. Ken was still flying his auto gyro at 96 years of age.
