Throughout 2026, The PGA is celebrating 125 years as the world's oldest professional golfers' association. In 1901, a letter in Golf Illustrated sparked a movement. J.H. Taylor, James Braid and Harry Vardon founded The Professional Golfers' Association of Great Britain and Ireland – the first of its kind – with a mission to raise the status of those earning their living from golf. Today, The PGA is proud to support 8,500 Members and Trainees working across 80+ countries. They are the leaders and innovators who shape the game - from club professionals and coaches to managers and directors of golf. Our anniversary film reflects on their dedication, professionalism and passion. It serves as a reminder that while golf continues to evolve, the role of the PGA Member remains as vital today as it was 125 years ago.
