This week on CCLemon99.com I list all of the anison singers who have sang theme songs from Metal Hero, Ultraman, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider. It's a hard club to get into and I break down all of the members. Here is the full list of M•U•S•K singers! http://www.cclemon99.com/2016/10/musk... -------------------- Welcome to Blue SWAT Month! If you're reading this, you're alright in my book. Blue SWAT was the largely forgotten Metal Hero entry that aired while Kakuranger was going on. It was a strange series, but it was full of great ideas. Every Sunday in October I will be reviewing a different toy from the series. Let's get started with Sho and his vehicle, the CV-01 Striker. This Pladera set comes with CV-01 Striker, Sho and two guns--Dictator and Plugloader. CV-01 Striker may look like some kind of weird tricked out vehicle, but in reality it is a lightly modified AUTOZAM AZ-1 (AUTOZAM was a Mazda subsidiary). It's a neat little 3-cylinder 1.3L rear-engined car that they pretty much just added an external roll cage to. This set is a lot of fun. I loooooove Pladera figures. They're probably my favorite type of figure since they were the same size as Chogokin figures but didn't suffer from the flakiness of painted die cast. They're durable and really neat. The Striker is pretty well done, but kinda lacks a lot of finer details. The tires are like any other mid-90s Bandai vehicle, which is kinda lame. It lacks any steering, but the wheels do roll freely. The gullwing door on the driver's side opens and Sho can sit inside the car. There is a yoke-style steering wheel, but lacks any of the equipment boxes that would sit where the passenger seat would usually be. The only thing I don't really like about this are the cartoonish stickers that are on the roof of the car. It's something that can be easily resolved by removing them, though. Other than that, it's a great little set. It's fun on it's own, but it's even better when it's with some company. Next time I will be looking at Sara and Sig's vehicles during Blue SWAT month! Be sure to check out my site, CCLemon99.com. Twice monthly I review shows, movies, Tokusatsu CDs, and occasionally make Top 7 lists of the best and worst of Tokusatsu.
