The Yellow Ratsnake is a species of ratsnake found throughout parts of the southeastern united states and has a striking feature compared to other ratsnakes...ITS YELLOW! This species can get up to 6ft long and this individual is about that size so an absolutely massive snake! Ratsnakes in general are a great ambassador of snakes for people because they eat rats and mice which helps us as people out and keeps the vermin out of our houses and they are totally harmless to humans as they have no venom! If you ever see one of these guys or a relative of theirs in the wild theres absolutely nothing to be scared of! Just appreciate this awesome creature with your eyes and let it be on its way. No snake will ever attack you unless you have provoked it so the fact that Daxter here tried to bite me is totally my fault! I wanted to handle this beautiful animal to educate you on the awesomeness and value of this snake in our world! Hopefully you enjoyed and learned a lot! Daxter is a captive animal at Gator Country who was rescued from a rundown abandoned facility and got a second chance at life! This is a great example of why facilities like this are so important because without the compassion of the owners Gary and Shannon Saurage this animal would have died in the conditions it was in. This animal was provided by the beautiful Gator Country located in Beaumont Texas.
