In this video we talk to an African American man; Oliver and the woman he fell in love with and married Yaa; a Ghanaian queen. This a Ghanaian American love story. We talk about how they met, what it was like meeting her family for the first time, the differences and similarities in Ghanaian and African American culture, food, visiting Ghana for the first time, as well as their courtship and eventual marriage. On this channel, I create content on bridging the gap between continent Africans and the African-American diaspora. I was brought from Ghana to live in the United States at the age of 12 to live with my Ghanaian father and my African American stepmom so the experience of growing up in that type of household and understanding the African American history allowed me to understand black people in America. I create this content to hopefully allow both sides of the continent to see that we have more similarities than differences within each other. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're enjoying my content, please make sure you LIKE this video and SUBSCRIBE to the channel. My comittment is to upload a new video every Sunday. STAY TUNED and PLEASE comment below if you have any questions.
