I…actually don’t like the logo for the Pokémon 30th Anniversary. It is exactly like the Pikachu logo for their 25th anniversary, only with the digits changed. I liked that 25th anniversary one, but they could’ve done something more original. For that matter, I remember the 10th anniversary, how it depicted a 1 in the yellow text for the Pokémon logo, a Poké Ball for the 0, and a Pikachu sitting atop the Poké Ball. I got a plush for it too for buying from the Pokémon Center that year. At that point, I was going to start uploading videos for Pokémon Battle Revolution starting the following year, meaning it’s been almost 20 years of me putting up Pokémon videos. Thank you for watching! Type: Double Battle Opponent: Aj Buds Battle Court: Pokémon League (Interior) Music: Nemona My Pokémon: Amanda (Weavile), Mortimer (Magmortar), Allen (Sandy Shocks), Enamorus Opponent’s Pokémon: Big Homie (Tyranitar), Lil Homie (Excadrill), Roaring Who? (Salamence), WatDaDogDoin (Okidogi) Speaking of Pokémon Sword and Shield battling, here’s a start I haven’t seen in a while either but that I kept seeing in Sword and Shield: Tyranitar and Excadrill. Excadrill hits hard for something so small and also gets Sand Rush to double its Speed in a Sandstorm, ensuring it’ll always hit first, and likely with something super-effective. I didn’t want to take chances and went straight for the Fake Out followed by a knockout attack on Excadrill. (For the record, over January 2026, Excadrill was not even on the top 150 for double battles, though it was the fourth top partner for Tyranitar.) It seems that my opponent misjudged this turn, recalling Tyranitar, allowing me to take out Excadrill without Mortimer (Magmortar) eating a strong Rock-type attack. Just as the initial turn of the previous day’s battle (“Whoa, Belly!”) put me on the back foot, I think the same applied to my opponent here. I even responded to their surprise Terastallization (though Flying is the most common Tera type for Tyranitar) with my own…admittedly a lot less encountered one. Okidogi’s nickname is based on a statement uttered on a video on Vine in which a bunch of people are sharing mints, but a dog attempts to have some too. “Big Homie” and “Lil Homie,” the nicknames of Tyranitar and Excadrill, are terms to refer to a mentor and student. There does not appear to be an outside reference to Salamence’s nickname of “Roaring Who?” though Roaring Moon does resemble Mega Salamence. It might be a pun, but I don’t know for sure.
