[ NO TALKING. JUST FOOD. ] The Ueno Park sakura festival in Tokyo is more than just a place to look at the cherry blossoms while consuming massive amounts of Strong Zero. Head down the pathways off the park's main street and you'll find dozens of yatai (street food stands) lined up selling everything from stir fried noodles to chocolate covered desserts. One classic favorite are the kushiyaki skewers of massive chunks of beef, chicken or pork, seasoned with either a "tare" soy sauce or a sprinkling of salt. The meat is tender and juicy, but some vendors are better than others so that just means you'll need to give them all a shot! Etiquette tip: It's considered rude in Japan to eat while walking. Make sure to either stand to the side or find a place to sit when chomping down your selections. The skewer of short ribs cost a little over $5 US. Most choices from the yatai will be under $10 US.
