In this we visit the Haymarket roundabout situated in Melbourne's inner north just outside the CBD. The large roundabout serves some major inner city arterial roads including Elizabeth Street, Flemington Road and Peel Stree, and is also served by several tram routes. Here we see various B2, D1 & D2 Class Trams on routes 19, 58 & 59 at the two tram stops that serve the roundabout; Stop 9 Haymarket/Elizabeth Street is a modern platform stop served by routes 19 & 59, and Stop 12 Flemington Road/Peel Street which is a standard un-upgraded stop. Being a large busy roundabout, Haymarket used to be nicknamed the 'Roundabout of Death' due to the high volume of traffic accidents, however this has reduced somewhat after the roundabout received safety upgrades in recent years; including the installation of traffic lights.
