I had originally intended to electroform copper onto a pinecone for use as the "tree" but that ultimately failed, and I'm glad it did. I then tried to woodturn a tree using the inside-out concept I used on the snow couple, but it didn't work as I intended. Fortunately for me, this pinecone was a life saver, and it seems to button up the piece well enough. Needless to say, my wife has claimed this piece, and it will not be for sale.
