I colpi sono ora più sordi, ora più precisi, sonori. Tutto ha inizio dalla materia: l'argilla, anzi, la "crea" come si chiama nel Veneto. E come in un percorso iniziatico, l'uomo, il ceramista, si reca dapprima dove tutto ha origine: le cave. Montagne d'argilla. E' un luogo strano, silenzioso, dove tutto ha lo stesso colore lunare e sembra davvero un altro pianeta. Chi è questo vecchio taciturno, col viso incorniciato da bianchi boccoli in forma di fiammelle, che creano l'impressione di una testa ellenistica? Quale la sua storia di uomo, di ceramista, di artista? Il film tenta un percorso nella sua vita e nel luogo simbolico al quale ha dedicato sforzi enormi, nel quale si è insediato da molto tempo: l'antica fornace di Rivarotta. Innestandosi nella tradizione millenaria della ceramica, egli ha avuto un'intuizione che gli ha permesso di scoprire un nuovo modo di fare ceramica. Ed è attorno a questa intuizione che tutto il film si svolge, passando attraverso la fatica di creare un'altra opera, attraverso questo inverno che è sì l'inverno della vita, ma è un inverno produttivo, e il raccolto è sempre il frutto del duro lavoro, di fronte al quale quest'uomo non si è mai tirato indietro. The film attempts a path in his life and in the symbolic place to which he devoted enormous effort, in which he has lived a long time: the old furnace Rivarotta. Grafting in the old tradition of pottery, he had an insight that allowed him to discover a new way to make pottery. It is around this insight that the entire film takes place, going through the hassle of creating another work, through this winter that is also the winter of life, but it is a productive winter, and the harvest is always the result of hard work, in front of which this man has never pulled back.
