The Feral Mtn 50M in Ellijay, GA delivered everything you'd want in a spring mountain ultra—heat, hills, and just a little extra mileage. This was Kyle and I's first race together since Dragon’s Back, and we used it as a solid training run for the San Diego 100. Local race, easy sign-up, and a quick drive from both Atlanta and Chattanooga made this a no-brainer. We battled hot and humid weather, but the course was well-marked, the aid stations were stacked, and the volunteers absolutely crushed it. Race swag? Top notch. The course? Beautiful and slightly long (57 miles instead of 50), but that’s just part of the fun, right? We ran strong all day and ended up sharing 3rd place in the men’s division! Race Details: 📍 Ellijay, GA 📅 Saturday, April 26, 2025 🎽 Presented by Coyote Ugly Trail Racing This course is no joke—10,000 ft of vert over 50 miles, covering classic Georgia backcountry like Windy Gap, Grassy Mountain Fire Tower, Emery Creek Falls, and sections 1–6 of the Pinhoti Trail.
