Partiti di buon'ora da Groppallo usciamo dal paese su asfalto, deviando poi su un sentiero in salita nel bosco, sulla sinistra. Passiamo la torre di Sant'Antonino e poco più avanti sbuchiamo nuovamente su asfalto all'altezza dell'abitato di Selva e continuiamo fino a Bruzzi, dove approfittiamo dell'unico bar sulla tappa per un cappuccino. Da qui si torna nel bosco in moderata salita fino al temuto bivio in cui il sentiero si biforca: a sinistra una micidiale salita di più di 500 metri di dislivello che porta al Monte Lama, a destra in discesa la Via Verde, che serpeggia poco sopra o poco sotto il provinciale pressoché in piano fino a Bardi. Noi scegliamo la variante alta e iniziamo una dura salita verso il monte, dove saremo però ricompensati dalla vista a 360 gradi sulle vallate che abbiamo percorso e su quanto ancora ci aspetta. Dal prato sommitale del Monte Lama scendiamo al monumento ai partigiani e su comoda strada forestale ci dirigiamo verso il colle del Castellaccio. Qui abbandoniamo gli spazi aperti e i bei prati e ritorniamo nel bosco, su sentieri spesso allagati e fangosi a causa delle piogge dei giorni precedenti. La discesa verso Bardi è su un sentiero sassoso, veramente duro per le ginocchia. La gioia è tanta quando avvistiamo Bardi, con la sua imponente fortezza. Fortezza che visiteremo a fondo una volta rifocillati e puliti, dopo essere passati dalla casa parrocchiale. We pass the tower of Sant'Antonino and a little further on we come out again on asphalt at the height of the town of Selva and continue to Bruzzi, where we take advantage of the only bar on the stage for a cappuccino. From here you return to the woods in a moderate climb up to the feared crossroads where the path forks: on the left a deadly climb of more than 500 meters in altitude that leads to Monte Lama, on the right downhill the Via Verde, which winds just above or just below the provincial road almost flat up to Bardi. We choose the high variant and begin a hard climb towards the mountain, where we will be rewarded, however, by the 360-degree view of the valleys we have traveled and what still awaits us. From the summit meadow of Monte Lama we go down to the monument to the partisans and on an easy forest road we head towards the Castellaccio hill. Here we leave the open spaces and the beautiful meadows and return to the woods, on paths that are often flooded and muddy due to the rains of the previous days. The descent to Bardi is on a stony path, really hard on the knees. The joy is great when we spot Bardi, with its imposing fortress.
