In this video, we are looking at how's a landfill gas power generator works. Landfill gas (LFG) is generated through the degradation of municipal solid waste (MSW) and other biodegradable waste, by microorganisms. Landfill gas must be treated to remove impurities, condensate, and particulates before entering the power plant unit. Several vacuum pumps, extensive filtering, air conditioner, condensation tanks, compressor are installed to enrich the methane gas before entering the internal combustion engine that drives the generator. Generator creates LV current and goes into primary switch gear and cubicle, then into step up transformer and substation before connected to the distribution network.
