Olayinka Oderinde is the founder of Garnet Center for Persons with Special Needs which is an affiliate of Life Matters Foundation for Children and Youths Concerns, a Non-Governmental Organization in Osogbo, Osun State. The Garnet Center for Persons with Special Needs was established with the vision towards ensuring an enjoyable, independent and fulfilled future and to improve the quality of life of persons with special need. Olayinka Oderinde provides advocacy on the need for a better tomorrow for persons with special needs and making our world see the persons, not their disabilities while raising awareness, doing extensive enlightenment, and providing information for parents and family members of persons with special needs. Olayinka Oderinde retired from the Public Service as Permanent Secretary in the Osun State Ministry of Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism. She holds a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Educational Psychology from the University of Ibadan.
