Spontaneous Wash to a Luminous Landscape: a Watercolour Demonstration | Painting in Loose Style

In this video, I am painting a colourful, soothing and glowing landscape based on a spontaneous wet-on-wet wash. It is such a fun way to make art - you never know what you are going to get when you let your colours flow and mix on paper. This element of surprise is one of my favourite things about watercolour, and it actually makes me get to know my watercolours a little bit better with every scene I paint. It can sometimes be frustrating too, but it never fails to teach me a little bit more about this wonderful, challenging medium. Let's see how this forest scene unfolded.
