1960 John Deere 430 Restoration E 24: Remote Hydraulic Valve Disassembly for Dubuque Tractors

In this video we disassemble the Remote Hydraulic Valve destined to be fitted on our John Deere 430 Standard Restoration Project. Remote Hydraulic Valves were an option that could be ordered at the time of purchasing the tractor or could be added later, but were not factory standard equipment. The valve body is essentially the same across most Dubuque tractor models, but the mounting brackets and plumbing will vary from tractor to tractor. Future videos in the works cover the rebuild of a remote hydraulic valve, the starter, rebuilding of the engine, and maybe even some fun stuff like painting. My techniques and tools are probably not the industry standard, my approach to what is removed/installed is random and haphazard. Obviously, I have no training or credentials that justify me walking anyone thru this process or this project. I do have years of experience working on/restoring my own tractors; I also have a doctorate degree that justifies the "Doc" in "TractorDoc." Listen to what I say and do what I do at your own risk.
