Here's the truth, none of us have any idea what we're doing but we are ALL doing the best we can! I am by no means an expert in Motherhood confidence but I do try and parent as consciously as I can. I sat down and came up with a few things that DO make me feel good in motherhood. I've found the best way to feel more confident is to start with our thoughts about other people. Stop judging other people and assuming good intentions. We will feel that energy come back to us. Social media is NOT the answer. It's a great place to find a guide for what we should be doing. Learn the basics then follow your baby. Social media can easily steal confidence from us. When we know WHY we want to do something, it is easier for us to defend it (if we have to) or to simply say "this is what works best for our family" and feel confident about it. Often I feel like when I make a decision about motherhood it's permanent, when I realized that I can choose something, and if it doesn't work (after a while) we can always change our minds. Feel good, and feel confident. Take care of yourself by figuring out WHAT makes you feel good and then figure out how to make that happen. Support is crucial, if your spouse isn't on board, find a middle ground where you can meet and support each other. Sometimes we linger a little too long on all the things we AREN'T doing.
