We still remember with pleasure our visits to these amazing places. The Grand Hotel Plaza was where Verdi stayed, as well as many other famous people over the years. He visited the Terme Tettucio as did Puccini and Marie Curie along with many others. Today, it is possible to visit the baths to look at the incredible decoration and see the grounds. From there it is possible to see Montecatini Alto on top of the hill. A Funicular Railway can take you up there and it is a lovely place to visit with the most amazing views across the local countryside. It is quite steep, but that is in common with many hill Villages, but it is surely worth it!
