"Drew Story" - Terryville High School's Drew Fowler

At age 4, Terryville High School's (CT) Drew Fowler (Class of 2026) was diagnosed with a slow growing brain tumor known as an optic glioma. It has impacted him everyday since. His condition required brain surgery, and he's legally blind in his left eye. A trial drug he was taking as a high school sophomore and junior limited him to manager duties for the cross country team. But for his senior year, feeling stronger and no longer on the trial drug, he's bravely returned to running while serving as class president, and being the top ranked student academically in his class. His commitment to achievement despite all the significant challenges of a brain tumor, is testament to his positive attitude and determination. This is a Drew Story.
