The effects of parental incarceration on families | Erik Cabrera-Zamora | TEDxAustinCollege

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have a parent in prison? Although it is something he normally tries not to tell people about himself, Erik has first-hand experience with this question. He will discuss how his and other families have been impacted by parental incarceration and hopes that by shedding some light on the subject he can make it easier for others to talk about, too. Erik hails from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. A 2022 Austin College graduate, Erik studied business administration, accounting, and finance, and dedicated much of his free time to the mock trial team. Currently, Erik is a third-year law student at the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, in pursuit of a Juris Doctorate. Erik plans to pursue a career in Family & Criminal Law.
