Ford F-100 Air Ride Build: Episode 31 – Widened Rear Fender Install, Bronco Tailgate Test Fit & Custom Bed Audio Plan 📦 Get Your Own Revell FD-100 Kit: https://amzn.to/48md6kV 🧲 Starbond CA Glue – 10% Off: https://bit.ly/3kPESNt (Code: TCTV10) 👉 Catch Up on the Series: • Ford FD-100 Model Truck Build Series Welcome back to the workbench where we try to make things — and today we’re continuing the custom Ford F-100 build using Revell’s first design kit… just not exactly the way the instructions intended. If you’re new to the series, there’s a playlist link below so you can get fully caught up on all the fabrication and custom work shaping this truck. This episode focuses on finishing the installation of the widened rear fender on the second side of the truck, along with the first test fitting of the Bronco tailgate into the bed. We also start planning a custom bed interior that may include a show-style audio system and display elements to match the SEMA-style direction this truck is heading. 🧰 In This Episode 🔧 Quick update using Starbond CA glue at the bench 🛞 Installing the second widened rear fender cap ✂️ Trimming and shaping the donor fender piece 🧱 Blending the grafted panel with body filler 📏 Sanding and refining the widened fender profile 🛻 First test fit of the Bronco tailgate into the F-100 bed 📦 Evaluating tailgate proportions with the widened bed sides 🧩 Planning the bed floor layout and interior panels 🔊 Brainstorming a custom audio system inside the bed 🖨 Test fitting 3D printed speaker components 💡 Considering acrylic panels and lighting effects 📐 Evaluating space for subwoofers and amplifier layout The widened rear fender modification is nearly complete now that both sides are installed. Once the bodywork is finalized, the rear wheels should tuck properly under the truck for the ultra-low stance. The Bronco tailgate concept is also starting to take shape. Early test fitting shows it may integrate nicely with the bed, but some additional trimming and shaping will likely be needed before it fully blends with the body lines. Inside the bed, planning has started for what could become a show-style audio installation, potentially featuring subwoofers, acrylic panels, and detailed speaker components. 🧠 Workbench Question • Should the bed include a full show-style audio system? • Would acrylic panels and lighting fit the style of this build? • Is the Bronco tailgate integration working visually? • Any ideas for the bed floor design? Drop your thoughts below — this build continues to evolve with your input. There’s still plenty of fabrication ahead as the rear bodywork gets finalized and the bed interior design starts taking shape. Thanks for hanging out at the bench and following along. 🔔 Like, Comment & Subscribe to keep up with the F-100 build and daily uploads at 4:00PM Central. 📸 Instagram: / tandemctelevision 📩 Contact: tandemcomet2246@gmail.com
