Let’s get started!” Step 1: Fabric Measurement & Cutting • Take soft cotton or satin fabric (1-1.5 meters). • Fold the fabric in half, then fold again to get four layers. • Mark the bodice length and width according to the child’s size. • Cut the front and back bodice separately. • For the neckline and armholes, use a basic bodice pattern or a well-fitted dress for reference. • Cut two ruffled strips for the sleeves. • For the lower frock part, take a wide rectangular fabric and cut a flared shape. Step 2: Stitching the Bodice • Join the front and back bodice at the shoulder seams. • Attach the neckline facing or bias tape for a clean finish. • Finish the armholes neatly. • Gather the ruffled sleeve strips and attach them to the armholes.
