Only 223 made with a 4-speed and air conditioning! This is a PHS documented, #s matching motor Trans Am. Built in California, very clean original metal. From a collection in Georgia of about 50 cars. EXTERIOR: Clean, rust free original metal. The body is straight and fits right, no damage. The rubber bumper fits great. Trans Ams come fully dressed with good looking spoilers, a shaker hood and air extractors on the fenders. The Polar White paint has a smooth glossy finish. There are some imperfections if you look for them. Rear bumper is bright, taillights are good originals. Rubber weatherstrips are soft. The 15 inch rally ll wheels are in good shape, T/As did not come with trim rings. INTERIOR: The blue in 1970 really pops, it was toned down in following years. Overall, very good shape. Door panels are excellent, seats are reupholstered, headliner is tight, carpet is bright blue with T/A mats. The dash pad looks great, it has a machine turned instrument panel and a full set of rally gauges. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole. We repaired the heater blower; it works on all speeds. Interior lights work. It has an optional console and the cool formula wheel. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 400-345 hp Ram Air lll motor. It looks stock- manifolds, valve covers and complete shaker ram air system. We adjusted the carb and the timing. It has rare air conditioning. We charged the air, it's blowing cold. We replaced the horns and cleaned the contacts. All the components look clean and proper. Battery is properly mounted; washer bottle is hooked up. It also features power steering and brakes. Overall, it has a clean appearance. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean rust free metal, I do not see any splices or repairs. Under the trunk lid is glossy, the compartment is spatter painted. Painted rim for a spare. It has a correct mat. UNDERSIDE: Bone dry original metal floors. Really, the rockers, frame rails, pinch welds, factory seams are clean. It has the Special Handling suspension which includes a quick ratio steering box, larger swaybars, hd shocks and springs. It's been maintained as needed. Our shop inspected under the car. We replaced the fuel tank, straps and sending unit. We replaced a missing rod for the reverse lights. We tightened the rear swaybar links. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. Dual exhaust looks solid. Looking up at the motor it is very clean. It has a correct 1970 Muncie M-20 4-speed trans. 3.31 saf-t-track (posi) rear end dated to this car. This is a rare and desirable muscle car. A 4-speed with a/c is rare in any muscle car, in this case it's extremely rare! #s match, documented and rust free, it's one worth having. This is one of the most well-rounded muscle cars to come out of Detroit. It's looks and performance are equally impressive!
