If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word. 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Note: The showdown of power at Mount Carmel was an opportunity for the God of Gods, The King of Kings, The Lord Elohim to assert his power and sovereignty. It was a way for God to show to Elijah the Chosen one, to the people of Israel that were worshiping other Gods like Baal, that he is the only God to be worshiped. He is the only God to be feared. No demon in hell, no principality no witch or warlock is to be feared as long as we are faithful and prayerful to the God Elohim.
